Mondays:
We meet at The Climbing Lab in Kirkstall from around 6pm. It is bouldering and a really social evening. If you are already a climber but it is your first time at the centre you will need to fill in the safety waiver which can be found here.
If you are new to climbing then this is a great place to start. The Climbing Lab offer induction sessions to get you up to speed. Check it out on their website here.
Entry is £5.50 and that includes free shoe hire! Sometimes afterwards we go to MOD Pizza down the road for post climb replenishment.
Wednesday:
Wednesday is student day at The Climbing Lab. Show your student card at reception for discounted (£5.50) entry and free shoe hire!
Thursday:
On Thursday we head over to the Big Depot which is a little bit further out but using our Facebook group we arrange lifts and taxi shares :). The Big Depot is a mix of super awesome roped climbing and a small amount of Bouldering. If you are already a climber but it is your first time at the centre you will need to fill in the safety waiver which can be found here.
Entry is £5! The depot also have the student discount on Monday for LBU Climb Members and also with your student card, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Outside:
Sometimes we climb outside as friends. If this is something you’re interested in or have experience with drop us a message or use our super Facebook group. We try and avoid taking large groups of people to crags as often these are sensitive locations and we want to avoid being antisocial or damaging the environment!
Competitions:
We have started taking part in competitions as a club and they are a great way to meet other climbers and are always a good day out whatever level you climb at. Keep an eye out in our Facebook group for updates.
